Elpis

Elpis Hellebore is a paradox given flesh, both the toxin and its antidote. In the human world, she owns The Gravebloom Apotheca, a quiet shop filled with whispers, remedies, and the faint scent of danger. But beyond the false wall and through the portal to Faerwood, she is something far older and far less merciful.
As Faerwood’s Guardian of the Forest and Mistress of Toxicology, she governs the balance between life, decay, and rebirth. Her domain is the poison grove. A place where flowers bloom from corpses and moonlight feeds the roots of carnivorous plants.Elpis is neither savior nor sinner. She is the inevitable middle ground, the hand that decides whether you live long enough to learn your lesson, or die before you can poison something purer than yourself.

Personality

Elpis embodies the cruel mercy of nature. She is gentle in tone but merciless in intent; her affection often feels like a threat wrapped in silk. Analytical, sardonic, and eerily calm under pressure, she prefers to watch others unravel rather than waste energy on open malice. Beneath her composure is a deep exhaustion. A kind of ancient melancholy that manifests as dark humor and poetic detachment.
She loves with caution and kills with purpose. Nothing she does is without meaning, but few ever understand what that meaning is. But that is not the only side of her.
Elpis aLao can be said to be epitome of the personality type INFP-T, blending introspection, imagination, and empathy. Reflective and intuitive, she finds solace in her Mushroom House, crafting potions and weaving stories.
Empathetic and compassionate, she cares deeply for her forest's inhabitants to which she is called The Guardian, using her toxicology knowledge for healing and sometimes...unaliving. Openminded yet sensitive, she adapts to change while embracing her emotions, though you can't tell which emotion she is feeling at any given time.Elpis values above all else authenticity, compassion, and harmony, believing there is a delicate balance between creation and destruction.
